Spring Break!

I've been meaning to write a post for a while, however this week has been pure torture! I had 2 papers to write and 2 interviews, which literally took up all of my time. I was running around this week like a chicken without a head, which is not a pretty image. I've also been doing my best to get to the gym more than 3 times a week.

Going to the gym is such a great stress reliever and I honestly think my brain works faster and more efficiently after the gym. The only downside is making time for it because as a law student it seems like time is the one thing we are always missing. Oh, and sleep.

Some good things did happen this week like for one I got my Erin Condren Life Planner!! I cannot express how much I love my planner its amazing. I live by my planner and purchasing the life planner seemed like the right investment. I'll post the video on here so you guys can fall in love with the life planner.

Another good piece of news, is that I was offered the public interest fellowship I applied for this summer. I am extremely excited and can't wait to see how this summer turns out. I feel very blessed to have such amazing opportunities to further my career.

Now although spring break is here I see myself spending all my time in the library. Oh, the woes of a law student.

The wonders of coconut oil

I was hoping to post the results of my honey facial mask, but my best friend and I ended up falling asleep before we could try it.Its hard to test something when a sleep coma has a hold over you. However, I did manage to make my hair mask this week with coconut oil and it made my hair so shiny and soft.

If you haven't tried coconut oil I suggest you stop what you're doing right now and go get it! Honestly, I can't say enough about the wonders of coconut oil because its so useful for everything.

Coconut oil is one of the best organic treatments for hair. It provides hair the essential proteins required for nourishing damaged hair follicles. It also helps hair growth! I mean come on that alone should sell you on it. Coconut oil helps provide a shiny complexion to hair and prevents dandruff from occurring.

Another great benefit of coconut oil is that it acts a moisturizer for skin. It prevents skin from drying and delays wrinkles. You're never too young to start worrying about wrinkles. I put coconut oil on at night like a mostiruizer and my skin and I wake up with soft and glowing skin. Oh, and did I mention that it smells amazing?

I have read some articles that label coconut oil as a weight loss supplementary, but I haven't personally tried this benefit. I'll keep coconut oil as a beauty product for now.

Im gonna share you with the recipe for my coconut oil and egg hair mask. Now I must warn you if you have thin hair do not put the mask on your scalp because it will cause excess oil to build up. Because I have thick hair I apply it all over my hair like if it was shampoo.

You will need the following ingridents:

1 egg

2 tbsp of coconut oil

one bowl

clear gloves

Put the 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a bowl and put it in the microwave for about 15 seconds so it can melt. Coconut oil at room temperature turns into a jelly and it needs to be melted for it to go in the mask. Now crack the egg in the bowl and mix it together. Apply the mask to your hair and concentrate especially on the roots. Put your hair in a ponytail and put on a shower cap. Let the mask set in for about 30-45 minutes. Now wash it out and you might have to shampoo about two times to make sure the mask comes out.

VoilĂ  you now have gorgeous hair!

No need to thank me.
